AUSTIN, Texas —February 21, 2012—Cenoplex™, today announced the appointment of Denise Archer as chief partnership officer. Already a long-standing member of Cenoplex’s advisory board, her appointment is effective immediately. An industry insider with more than 25 years of experience, Denise is well known in the wireless community for introducing new business paradigms and game-changing technologies to U.S. mobile operators, including automated roamer clearing, prepaid service for mobile subscribers and direct-to-carrier mobile payments, all of which markedly altered and improved carrier reach and operations. Providing strategic guidance and operational knowledge to mobile start-up companies, she has demonstrated unsurpassed acumen for scaling high-growth ventures and achieving fundamental business milestones.
Denise brings her multi-faceted expertise in mobile carrier operations, technology sales and product evolution to her new role as chief partnership officer at Cenoplex, where she will lead carrier partnerships and business development initiatives.
“Drawing on her tremendous track record in pivotal leadership roles where she led companies from inception to successful exits, Denise has been instrumental to Cenoplex as an advisor,” said Gregory O. Welch, president and CEO at Cenoplex. “Her passion has been a cornerstone of her technical sales and business development career, and in her new role, Denise will be at the center of our work at Cenoplex. Her ability to help us fully understand the complex business issues that face wireless operators makes Denise a critical member of our team as we drive ahead on an aggressive growth plan for 2012.”
Most recently, Denise was the vice president of carrier partnerships and media communications for BilltoMobile™. In this capacity, she directed mobile carrier sales, industry relations and development of strategic wireless industry partnerships, and represented mobile operator needs within the product development cycle at BilltoMobile. During her tenure, the company became the only payments provider to directly connect its mobile billing platform with all four tier-one U.S. wireless carriers. She will remain involved with BilltoMobile, transitioning to an active role on its board of advisors.
“I am excited to join the Cenoplex team and see a tremendous opportunity to guide the company’s overall partnership strategy,” said Denise Archer, chief partnership officer at Cenoplex. “I believe that Cenoplex’s Actionable Audio Messages will soon be an everyday, valued part of the consumer’s mobile experience and a highly utilized carrier tool for targeted, critical care communications with their subscribers.”
As the anchor sales executive at Boston Communications Group, Inc. (BCGI), Denise honed her entrepreneurial talent as part of the founding executive team. BCGI was recognized as a pioneer in the development of cellular prepaid service and debuted in a successful initial public offering on NASDAQ during her tenure. At its peak, the company processed 60 percent of all North American wireless prepaid calls.
Prior to BCGI, she served as anchor senior vice president of sales and marketing at Appex, a leading wireless carrier service provider for roaming fraud control and billing, and one of the first automated roaming clearinghouses in the U.S. The company earned BusinessWeek’s title of Fastest Growing Privately Held Company in the U.S., and was subsequently acquired by Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
