AUSTIN, Texas—July 6, 2011—Cenoplex™, the company that is transforming customer care for wireless operators by harnessing the gap between call placement and connection, today announced that the company has made a donation of $10,000 to SHUZZ, in recognition of their efforts for improving the lives of children and individuals in impoverished parts of the world. SHUZZ is a non-profit volunteer organization that is committed to providing new shoes to people in need around the world. The organization will use 100 percent of the money to put new shoes on the bare feet of poverty-stricken children in Haiti and the devastated tornado victims in Joplin, Missouri.
“I wish we could give even more as we view such contributions as a part of our corporate purpose,” said Gregory O. Welch, president and CEO at Cenoplex. “One of our goals as a company is to make basic cell phone service more accessible to everyone, and we feel that we have an obligation to give back in order to maintain the vitality of our industry and set an example that will be emulated by others.”
The donation was made in conjunction with Lamborghinis & Martinis, a public charity benefit hosted by the world renowned abstract, impressionist artist William DeBilzan. The event, which took place more than a week ago in Delray Beach, Florida, raised more than $16,000 for the SHUZZ organization and featured exotic cars, live painting by William DeBilzan and David Banegas, live jazz, cocktails and an art auction.
“We’re extremely grateful for Cenoplex’s support and generosity,” Rita Johnson, co-founder of SHUZZ, states. “Their donations will provide thousands of children, families, and elderly with the comfort and security that only a new pair of shoes can offer. We look forward to building a meaningful, long-term relationship with Cenoplex that will benefit the lives of many in need across the U.S. and abroad.”
